In his Summer '08 Collection, Ravi Bajaj merges the Indian design sensibility and responds to a global pulse where the 'Eternal Woman' is the muse.

Saris and kurtas transform and enjoy a modern sensibility. Kurtas are no longer straight embroidered yardage but have evolved through the idiom of varied silhouettes and drapes, which hug the body and exude oomph especially around the neck, armhole and back, while sleeves flatter the Indian body type.

The saris, enjoy a segregated form, with an embroidered skirt, which works as an inner layered petticoat and the dupatta functions like the pleats and pallu. Embroidery is recreated in a lace effect. Sequins submerge under patches of transparent fabrics, which create an interesting diamond effect. Rice pearl beads merge with hand paint, to create a pixilated effect, artistically entangled with thread to form beautiful rose like forms.
